Excellent opportunity for an experienced PHP developer with broad development experience to join a very successful digital arm of a Leading TV Production company.
This well known TV production company is looking for an experienced Web Developer to join its digital production arm. The department has a cross platform entertainment focus rather than being a web agency, it operates as a service division to its three market facing divisions&ndash Digital Broadcast, Digital Media Studio and Gaming.
In your day-to-day job, you will be expected to report to the Head of Technology and you will be comfortable working to defined development methodologies that include scoping, information architecture and testing with good knowledge of W3C coding standards and cross platform experience (Including the Mac and Windows environment). It is important that you have spent considerable time honing your skills in using a number of PHP frameworks such as the Zend Framework or Symfony.
This exciting new job will require you to work with a team of creative and technical developers, producers and project managers.
The ideal candidate will consider him or herself to have a good balance between core technical skills such as PHP5, MySQL5, complimented by good front-end XHTML and CSS scripting skills. A best of breed which means that you are as comfortable with cutting up a Photoshop file in to a web page as you are with designing a dynamically driven PHP/MySQL web site based on well respected industry standards and frameworks (known as MVC&rsquos) such as Zend or Symfony.
You will have previously worked in a busy, deadline driven digital media environment and be comfortable interacting with team members of varying technical ability. Your previous experience will have been exposed you to a variety of rich media based web development projects involving the latest social media APIs (Bebo open media network, Facebook, Ning, Fiendster, etc), video streaming and the integration of Flash in to web sites (although you will NOT be expected to produce Flash or Action Script but have a working knowledge of how to integrate ready compiled Flash in to HTML and dynamic web sites).
Your experience should also include working with a variety of content management systems such as Joomla, Drupal, Word Press, EZ Publish and other similar products. Ideally, you will have also worked with some of the better-known mid-market CMS&rsquos and can demonstrate your use of these open source and commercial CMS&rsquos on your CV.
1st interviews have already been organised for the end of this week so if this sounds like it could be the role for you, apply today!!! Send CV&rsquos to developers@purple-consultancy.com
