The role is broadly divided into 4 key areas:
Defining the technical vision and high-level scope for upcoming projects.
Leading architecture and design for all solutions across back-end and front-end development
Development at a senior level, particularly focused on critical application components and/or providing examples to be followed by the rest of the development team
And finally defining and maintaining technical standards, techniques and practices on an ongoing basis.
This is also an opportunity to create an innovative platform over time that can potentially be licensed and sold to new and existing clients. For this the right person this truly is a very exciting opportunity!
The ideal candidate will have senior development experience developing and or architecting technical solutions across a mix of front-end (including CSS/HTML, Flash and AJAX) and back-end (primarily .NET, possibly also Java/J2EE or PHP) technologies. Although you will be involved in mentoring developers this is not a management role. Whilst the role isn&rsquot managerial in focus you will need to have a commercial outlook and be skilled at realising the commercial potential of your work with in a creative digital environment.
