I think that some slogans will last forever. Everyone knows "I'm lovin' it" even if you don't like McDonalds... even more, we sing when we say it...
It is the power of marketing!!

After Manchester United beat Chelsea (who I support) at penalties at the UEFA Champions Final 2008 in Moscow, my friend (a Man Utd fan) sent me a text message saying,
"Piss up at the pub - £50. John Terry missing a penalty - PRICELESS!"
(Mastercard.....)

Thank crunchie it's friday tis the best. As I live for the weekends! Unfortunately I can't enjoy my daily crunchie bars at the mo as my teeth are k'nackered. Failing that, the future is bright the future is orange. It just gives you a warm glow inside!

Cadbury's Milk Tray
"because the lady loves milk tray"
I grew up with these adverts where a man jumped off a mountain and swam through the sea to deliver milk tray chocolates, all because the lady loves milk tray
I agree with the other writer on B&Q, havent you seen the advert!!

Mmmm my favorite one doesn`t belong to the UK market. It is a well known Italian pasta brand which wasn`t able to fight the retailers barrier to entry in the UK...
"Dove c'é Barilla c'é casa"
Translated "Where there is Barilla there is home".
All the ads focus on Italian people all over the world eating pasta and feeling at home, or families keeping connected by pasta shape even when they are far apart... quite a romantic brand!
Well I`ve been living abroad for a few years (Canada, Florida, Sweden), and everywhere I lived I was eating pasta Barilla - until I came to the UK!
I had to activate a 'black market' for importing pasta, and I had to justify my extra luggage Kgs to the check-in staff, saying, "I miss home!" with sweet imploring eyes.. They always understood... power of advertising I guess!

"you can do it if you b&q it"
sounds impressive. musical tune was good and catchy even though it's not very insightful and the DIY chain has seen an erosion of its competitive position, possibly partly as a result of the unfriendly unhelpful staff - haven't they seen the advert!!

"Happiness is a cigar called Hamlet."
I've had a 50-a-day habit ever since I first saw that advert.

"I see you baby, shakin' that ass' -
More of a jingle for the Renault Megane (crap car, great advert! Everyone sings it and makes the link with the car)
